A well-known network for over 50 years

In 1954, Godfroy Dubé and Laurent Rochon decided to combine the first syllable of each of their family names to form DUROmd, the first auto glass shop in Québec. Ten years later, proud of their business success, the owners decided to open a second shop in Lévis. In 1970, DUROmd was acquired bu Faucher & Fils Ltée, an auto glass and accessories wholesaler. That same year, a third store was opened. In the 1980s, the network entered a period of strong growth, with the opening of 10 stores. In February 1990, DUROmd vitres d'autos took its expansion to the next level, becoming a franchisor. It was an overnight success! In the decade that followed, more than 60 stores would see the light of day.
