Schedule : full time (37.5h/week)
The Art Director designs and carries out the company’s Web design projects. He is in charge for the functional design of the user interface, navigation in the system and the ergonomics of the screens.
Key Responsibilities
•Organizing all that relates to Web design
•Understanding the needs and developing graphic concepts for various projects in collaboration with Account Managers and Project Managers
•Designing all graphic elements (presentations, models, images, pictures) and validating their integration
•Conceptualizing, scripting and designing storyboards
•Creating prototypes of web pages, including the design, site navigation, graphics and layout of the content
•Ensuring accessibility and logic of the way content is arranged
•Producing a design that will be attractive to the target user while taking into account website ergonomics
•Supporting and contributing to strategies for Web architecture projects
•Overseeing and participating in weekly meetings of his team
•Participating in the recruitment of team members
•Monitoring performance and performance evaluations of team members
•Motivating staff employees by behaving in a positive way that fosters exchange
•Providing all necessary support to designers as first line of support
•Ensuring graphic quality of projects throughout the production phase
•Managing the artistic direction of some projects and keeping an eye on the artistic direction of all the department’s projects
•Thinking about training needs of team members and discussing them with Human Resources
•Developing strategies to meet new creative challenges
•Contributing to the ongoing development of the creative department
Education
Bachelor’s degree. or College diploma in design/computer graphics or a related field
Experience
At least 3 years of experience as Art Director or equivalent
Experience in managing employees
Technical Skills
Essential:
Excellent knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator
Very good knowledge of Web
Very good understanding of the creative process
Assets:
Knowledge of Flash, JavaScript and HTML / CSS
