Solution
Presentation of the strategy we have adopted: We have opted for an approach based on close collaboration with Genome Quebec, emphasizing the creation of an attractive and functional design, as well as the use of the WordPress platform to ensure ease of management and updating.
Description of the tools, technologies, and methodologies used: The use of WordPress, modern web technologies, and a well-established methodology have allowed us to develop a website tailored to the client’s needs. The site is bilingual (French, English) and uses the Gutenberg content editor. Web forms are also integrated into the site. The hosting is provided on Vortex Solution’s servers, and an SSL certificate is required.
Illustration of the creative and technical approach: We have implemented a user-centered design, integrating innovative features to highlight the importance of genomics and facilitate interaction with users. As part of the mandate, a URL redirection plan was developed to preserve the existing SEO capital. Statistical tags were implemented, and an HTML sitemap accessible to visitors was added. The website was claimed on the Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools platforms to submit it to the two most popular search engines. An HTML sitemap and an XML sitemap were used to send the search engines a structured version of the site. A robots.txt file was also put in place to block access to robots to certain parts of the site that we do not want to be indexed. The structure of the pages and the URL structure were taken into account so that the search engines understand the architecture of the site and can more easily see the different paths that the user will take during his visit. By having a good structure, they can better classify the information and therefore better interpret the page. Finally, the pixels of the different social
