Advanced UX Website Design for Clinical Research

We are proud to share the launch of a new institutional website designed with an advanced UX approach, developed for Syneos Health Participants and deployed across Canada and the United States.

This project exemplifies our vision of UX-driven website design: creating digital experiences that are clear, reassuring, and performance-oriented—especially critical in highly regulated sectors such as healthcare and clinical research.

From the earliest design phases, the website was structured around participant needs. The UX strategy focused on simplifying complex clinical information, reducing cognitive load, and guiding users smoothly through each step of their journey. Information architecture, navigation flows, and visual hierarchy were carefully designed to foster confidence and understanding, regardless of device or context of use.

Accessibility and readability were treated as core UX pillars, ensuring the platform remains inclusive, intuitive, and aligned with best practices for institutional healthcare websites.

The UX-UI design balances human-centered thinking with technical rigor. Visual elements support comprehension rather than distraction, while interaction patterns are predictable, fluid, and reassuring. This approach enables participants to engage with sensitive content in a calm and structured environment—an essential factor in early-phase clinical research contexts.

The result is a seamless, device-agnostic experience that maintains high standards of usability, performance, and consistency over time.

The platform was developed on the latest generation of Adobe ColdFusion, providing a secure, stable, and scalable foundation that supports advanced UX requirements. This architecture ensures that the user experience can evolve continuously while maintaining the reliability expected of an institutional healthcare platform.

Analytics were integrated directly into the UX strategy, enabling continuous optimization of user journeys based on real usage data. This data-informed approach ensures that UX improvements remain aligned with participant needs and organizational objectives.

Advanced UX design must coexist seamlessly with regulatory compliance. The website integrates consent mechanisms adapted to both Canadian and U.S. regulations without compromising the user experience. Cookie consent management is handled through byscuit.com, our Canadian consent management solution, ensuring transparency, user control, and regulatory alignment while preserving UX fluidity.

The website is hosted on Vortex Solution’s Canadian cloud infrastructure, certified SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001. This secure hosting environment reinforces user trust and supports the delivery of a high-quality UX within a regulated healthcare ecosystem.
