La Pêche in a nutshell
The municipality of La Pêche, a territorial community located in the Outaouais administrative region, northwest of the city of Gatineau, comprises nine distinct village cores: Alcove, Duclos, East-Aldfield, Farrellton, Lac-des-Loups, Lascelles, Rupert, Sainte-Cécile-de-Masham and Wakefield. The municipality was created in 1975 through the amalgamation of several administrative entities by the Ministère des Affaires municipales du Québec. With an area of 615.59 km2, La Pêche is the largest municipality in the MRC des Collines de l’Outaouais and one of the largest in Quebec.
