Fondation du CHUM
Design, development, and launch of an institutional WordPress website
For Fondation du CHUM, the mandate was to design and build a digital platform capable of reflecting the full scope of its mission while supporting its visibility, engagement, and fundraising objectives. The website needed to capture the attention of volunteers, clearly communicate the Foundation’s mission and achievements, promote its activities and campaigns, provide strong visibility for partners, and guide visitors effectively toward the donation section.
The Challenge
The main challenge was to create a digital experience that would be clear, engaging, and inspiring for a wide range of audiences. The website needed to highlight the Foundation’s real impact, make information easy to access, and support engagement across its many initiatives. It also had to give the client team the ability to update and evolve content easily on a day-to-day basis, without technical complexity, within an environment supported by advanced cybersecurity standards. Added to this was a strategic visibility challenge: structuring the website so it could perform well both in traditional search engines and in newer AI-assisted discovery environments.
The Solution
We designed and developed the website on WordPress, a strategic platform choice that combines flexibility, ease of content management, and long-term scalability. This approach gives the Foundation strong autonomy for updating news, campaigns, events, institutional content, and partner-related content, while relying on a solid technical foundation.
The site architecture was designed to highlight the Foundation’s mission, achievements, and calls to action, with clear pathways toward the donation section, Foundation activities, and engagement opportunities. Special attention was given to content hierarchy, clarity of messaging, and the presentation of the most compelling elements for volunteers, donors, and partners.
From an SEO perspective, the site was structured with a clear content strategy, coherent information architecture, well-defined pages, optimized heading structures, thoughtful internal linking, and strong technical foundations to support organic discoverability. From a GEO perspective, the content was organized to perform more effectively in AI-generated answer environments, with information that is clear, credible, well-contextualized, and easy for generative engines to interpret.
Particular care was also given to advanced cybersecurity and long-term platform stability, ensuring the Foundation benefits from a reliable, secure, and future-ready digital environment.
The Results
The result is a more engaging platform that supports increased engagement from volunteers, donors, and Foundation stakeholders. The new website improves the promotion of activities, better showcases the organization’s mission and achievements, strengthens partner visibility, and makes access to strategic sections, especially the donation area, more direct and effective.
The project also gives the Foundation a more flexible and sustainable digital environment, with strong ease of future upgrades and ongoing evolution. Finally, the SEO and GEO optimizations built into the platform help strengthen the Foundation’s digital presence, both in traditional search engines and in emerging AI-powered search and recommendation environments.
