We are honoured to have partnered with the City of Laval in the redesign and development of laval.ca, a project that has now received a Merit Award at the 2026 Gold Quill Awards from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) in the Digital Communication category.

For those unfamiliar with them, the Gold Quill Awards are among the most respected international recognitions in the communications industry. Each year, organizations from around the world submit projects that are evaluated on strategy, innovation, execution, and measurable impact.

Designed to serve more than 460,000 residents, the new laval.ca was completely reimagined to provide a modern, accessible, and user-centered digital experience.

Accessibility was a key priority throughout the project, ensuring easier access to information and municipal services for people with physical or cognitive limitations. The redesign was also guided by digital sustainability principles, with a streamlined architecture that improves performance while reducing the platform’s environmental footprint.

At Vortex Solution, we believe the best digital experiences are those that create a meaningful impact for the communities they serve. Being part of a project of this scale—and seeing it recognized on the international stage—is a tremendous privilege.
